Actor Liam Neeson has split from his girlfriend after a two-year romance, according to a U.K. report.
The "Schindler's List" star was widowed when his actress wife Natasha Richardson was killed in a skiing accident in 2009, but he found love again with British businesswoman Freya St. Johnston a year later.
However, Britain's Mail on Sunday reports the couple's relationship came to an end earlier this month. A source tells the publication, "Liam is heading back to America at the start of next month to work on his new film Non-Stop. He told Freya that he wants to take a break and concentrate on his family."
Neeson, 60, has two sons from his marriage to Richardson.
...too bad; you will miss an excellent, suspenseful film. I thought "The Grey" one of his best efforts to date, both for the quality ensemble of actors who told the story, and for the challenge it obviously was to make the picture. I was quite "taken" with it...smile. (Sorry; couldn't help myself...laughter.)
Apart from staying AWAY from an endangered species, these wolves (not to spoil the story) are enhanced CGI mythical gothic creatures, which only adds to the slight otherworldliness of the plot, at times. Allegorically, they could, much like the various "challenges" each character undergoes, represent Nature Herself....and this one is no shrinking violet.
That they are oil riggers will satisfy the issue/environmentalist sensibility, in terms of struggle and issue, but apart from the heart-tugging angst, the actors "dug in with relish" in the development of each character, no matter how brief....and it shows.
Miss it, and miss one of this year's best.
