Sandy shuts down filming on Colin Farrell's movie

WENN

Filming on Colin Farrell's new movie has been postponed over fears the shoot could be disrupted by a tropical storm.

Farrell was scheduled to begin work on "Winter's Tale" in New York on Monday, but movie producers have now pushed the production's start date back by one day.

The move followed reports which suggest Tropical Storm Sandy -- which was downgraded from hurricane status on Saturday -- is due to hit the area on Monday after high winds and rain killed more than 40 people in the Caribbean.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros., the studio behind "Winter's Tale," confirmed the move to Deadline.com, revealing the decision was taken "as a precaution." The film also stars "Downton Abbey" actress Jessica Brown Findlay.

I love how the big story is that Colin Farrell's movie has been delayed and the fact that forty people died is almost a footnote. We should all pray for poor Colin.
