Steve Guttenberg receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Steve Guttenberg, perhaps best known for the "Police Academy" movies, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday. His star is no. 2,455 and is in front of the Police Activities League at 6411 Hollywood Boulevard, which is rather awesome.

Guttenberg is also known for other 1980s hits "Three Men and a Baby" and its sequel, "Cocoon" and its sequel, and "Diner." As of late, he was on Season 2 of "Veronica Mars" and "Dancing With the Stars," and is currently starring on Broadway in "Relatively Speaking," to positive critical reviews.

He is also known for his off-camera philanthropy work. He started the Guttenhouse Project, which provides housing in south Los Angeles for at-risk foster care youth when they turn 18 and have nowhere else to go. He also organized a campaign to provide glasses for poor children whose families cannot afford eye care.

This does not mean much ... Stars can buy their Star, it really explains why a lot of the talentless hacks get them.... Its not like an Oscar, you dont have to earn it.
