Michelle Williams wins role in 'Oz' prequel

Variety reports that Michelle Williams has landed the coveted role of Glinda the Good Witch in the star-studded "Wizard of Oz" prequel, "Oz: The Great and Powerful."

According to Vulture, the actress beat out Hilary Swank for the role played by Billie Burke in the beloved 1939 movie.

Sam Raimi will direct the film, which also stars James Franco, Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis.

Later this year, Williams will appear in another iconic role, playing Marilyn Monroe in "My Week With Marilyn."

Amen, I would pay to see her getting railed by the Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow...but not a flying monkey.

 

Will Smith is in enough movies.

How about the part of Dorothy? Have they thought about Jean Louisa Kelly? She is not only pretty but has a great voice....she sang in the movie with Richard Dreyfus...
