What's the key to a successful first film, besides a good script and smart
director? The cast, of course! For Geoff Haley and his debut, "The Last Word,"
the writer-director appears to have lucked out in landing Ray Romano, Wes Bentley (at left in a scene from
the film) and Winona Ryder. In this third entry in our Filmmaker's
Journey project, watch Romano and Bentley talk about how they landed their roles
and Haley discusses why he chose their talents. It'll become clear that it
wasn't a slam-dunk decision for anyone.
