| Who’s the Most Evil Queen of All? |
Susan Sarandon as Queen Narissa Queen Narissa in "Enchanted" (2007) gives stepmothers and future mothers-in-law a really bad name. Narissa only occupies the throne of Andalasia, the animated fairy-tale world, until her stepson Prince Edward (James Marsden) gets married and becomes king. Even though Narissa has worked to ensure this scenario never pans out, Edward unexpectedly meets and falls in love with Giselle (Amy Adams). Before they can marry, however, Narissa shoves Giselle into a magic well that transports her to the "real world," which in this case is Times Square in New York. Giselle's misadventures in the Big Apple bring her close to Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey), even though Edward follows her to rescue her. As one would predict, Giselle and Robert fall in love. Queen Narissa, however, isn't having any of this happy-ending nonsense. She goes to New York to make sure Giselle is permanently out of the picture. If you thought she looked scary in the fairy-tale world, wait till you see her in the "real world"! No self-respecting Disney queen would miss the chance to transform into a dragon, so Narissa follows suit, grabs McDreamy -- I mean, Robert -- and climbs to the top of the Woolworth Building. Her spectacular, fiery fall from the top is an ending befitting such glorious evil. Bing: View more photos of "Enchanted" (Walt Disney) |
