|We are family!|
|Our favorite family reunions and family meet-and-greets on

"You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them." -- Desmond Tutu
"People are pretty forgiving when it comes to other people's families. The only family that ever horrifies you is your own." -- Douglas Coupland
Both of these theories about families seem equally true at times. Why, our mixed feelings about families have served as fodder for scores of songs (such as the Sister Sledge hit that provided this gallery's headline), books, television series and movies.
The latest of that latter bunch is "Peeples," a comedy-drama that boasted its connections to prolific screenwriter-director Tyler Perry in early teasers and posters. Perry is serving solely as producer this time out. "Peeples" is the work of screenwriter Tina Gordon Chism, who contributed to the screenplays for the hits "ATL" (2006) and "Drumline" (2002) and makes her feature filmmaking debut.
