Why do redheads always grab our attention? The old standby stereotypes are that blondes have more fun, brunettes are the brainiest, the raven-haired are strong and sultry, and redheads are fiery, hot-tempered and dynamic. Many films feature a passionate, spunky redhead, and this summer, another joins the ranks.

Hitting the theaters June 22 is the latest fantasy adventure from Disney and Pixar, "Brave." At the center of this 3-D computer-animated film is the headstrong and tempestuous Merida, who, of course, has a glorious mane of wavy, orange hair that flies wildly in the wind, whether she's launching an arrow or chasing after her devilish and equally red-haired triplet brothers.

Set in ancient Scotland, when magic and mystery were still woven into the lush green glen along with sacred customs and medieval lore, "Brave" is a tale of a young girl who decides to take her destiny into her own hands. When an eccentric witch grants her an ill-fated wish, her kingdom is jeopardized, and she must realize the true meaning of bravery in order to save all that she holds dear. Sounds epic, no?
