Bracing for the inevitable end of a beloved franchise

As much as "Harry Potter" fans are waiting with bated breath for the final installment of the eight-film series, we are also bracing ourselves for the inevitable end of this beloved franchise. Once "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" opens in theaters, the fact that it's really over, and there are no more books and no more movies, will hit us like a load of pumpkin pasties, and we'll be blubbering into our Butterbeers like Fifth Year students who failed all their O.W.L.s.

Although the success of the "Harry Potter" books and films created an explosion in the magic and fantasy genres, there is nothing that compares with J.K. Rowling's characters, settings and stories. These will forever stay in our hearts, and there will be endless re-readings and viewings of our favorite young wizards and their extraordinary adventures.
