Crazy in Love
Sometimes a love story with a screw loose can make for Hollywood gold

Ah, awards season. That time of year when Hollywood puts away their Heigls and McConaugheys and makes an effort to trade in tried-and-true love for something a little more unhinged. The key to great dysfunctional romance on the big screen tends to be a blend of amusing kookiness and deep-seated pain, and there's no sense in denying that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence deliver each in spades as the leads of David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook." Meanwhile, although "Rust and Bone" -- Jacques Audiard's follow-up to the rightfully acclaimed prison drama "A Prophet" -- isn't looking quite as light-hearted, it reinforces the notion that only hurt people can help one another to heal. With that in mind, here is a sampling of our favorite off-kilter pairings, from the innocently screwball to the completely bugnuts.
