|Sometimes a love story with a screw loose can make for Hollywood gold

Ah, awards season. That time of year when Hollywood puts away their Heigls
and McConaugheys and makes an effort to trade in tried-and-true love for
something a little more unhinged. The key to great dysfunctional romance on the
big screen tends to be a blend of amusing kookiness and deep-seated pain, and
there's no sense in denying that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence deliver each in
spades as the leads of David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook." Meanwhile,
although "Rust and Bone" -- Jacques Audiard's
follow-up to the rightfully acclaimed prison drama "A Prophet" -- isn't looking
quite as light-hearted, it reinforces the notion that only hurt people can help
