Actor Biography:Yasmin Paige ascended to fame as an adolescent star in her native Britain, as one of the cast mainstays on the popular Doctor Who spin-off series The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007). On that program, Paige played Maria Jackson, the teenage assistant of heroic alien fighter Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), one of Doctor Who's former associates. Paige then moved into big-screen features as one of the main characters, adoptee and aspiring aviator Petrova Fossil, in director Sandra Goldbacher's family-oriented drama Ballet Shoes (2008). ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
