Screenwriter Biography:In film, author "William Wister Haines" primarily penned screenplays for such action-adventure films as "The Eternal Sea" and "The Racket". As a novelist he made his debut with "Slim" which, in 1931, he adapted into a film of the same name starring "Henry Fonda" and "Pat O'Brien". As playwright, "Haines" is best known for the Broadway success "Command Decision" (1947).
