A godsend to comedy films, Cobb has menaced "Chevy Chase" in "Fletch Lives" (1985), "Jim Varney" in "Ernest Goes to Jail" (1990), "Jim Carrey" in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" (1993), and "Leslie Nielsen" in "Naked Gun 33 1/3" (1994).
