Wymark impersonated Churchill off-camera in the documentary features "The Finest Hours" (1964) and "A King's Story", and appeared as "Winnie" in the flesh in "Operation Crossbow" (1965). His other film roles were equally authoritative: He was seen as Oliver Cromwell in "The Conqueror Worm" (1967), while in "Cromwell" (1969) he showed up as the Earl of Stafford.
