Raised in London, Evans was inspired to enter show business by his cabaret performer father. Focusing on physically and verbally dexterous standup comedy, Evans soon made a name for himself at London's Comedy Store and on British television. After he made his film debut co-starring with "Jerry Lewis" and "Oliver Platt" in the British comedy "Funny Bones" (1995) and played a small part in "Luc Besson"'s science fiction fantasia "The Fifth Element" (1997), the actor/comedian landed his first American movie role as one of the beleaguered brothers who inherit the mouse-inhabited house in the hit Mousehunt (1997).
