Screenwriter Born: October 4, 1921 Death: 1980 Biography:Distinguished American screenwriter "James Poe" was among the most literate screenwriters in Hollywood. He was best known for his screen adaptations of contemporary American literature. Poe began his career as a writer for The March of Time series of documentary-style newsreels.
