Biography:Film producer and former owner of UPA products, "Henry G. Saperstein" was for 25 years closely involved with producing and distributing Japan's Toho Studio's "Godzilla" series, and served as executive producer on "Woody Allen"'s debut film "What's Up Tiger Lily?" (1966). Saperstein also pioneered film and early television merchandising of '50s series such as "The Lone Ranger", "Lassie", and Roy Rogers. In the mid-'50s, he assisted Colonel Tom Parker as a licensing agent for "Elvis Presley". During that decade, Saperstein focused primarily on television and produced scores of animated "Mr. Magoo" and "Gerald McBoing Boing" shorts. He later produced hour-long Magoo specials including "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol".
