Over the course of a career that encompassed work on stage, screen and television, Moses won numerous awards, including the Obie, for directing Imamu Amiri Baraka's "Slave Ship" (1969), and a 1975 New York Drama Critics Circle for Taking of Miss Janie. Some of Moses' television efforts include episodes of "Roots", Benison and "Law & Order".
