Biography:By the time he died in 1977, Elvis Presley was as much a cultural icon as a singer or movie star, so it's oddly appropriate that Elvis continued to make his presence known in films after his death. Rock and roll rebel, mama's boy, proud son of the South, drug addict in serious denial, lowbrow renaissance man, there was a bit of all these things in Elvis, and a diverse variety of films have either portrayed Presley's life or embraced him as a cultural reference point.
