Director, First Assistant Director Biography:Starting out in the early 1930s as an assistant director at RKO, "Edward Killy" was promoted to the director's chair with the 1935 remake of "Seven Keys to Baldpate". Killy went on to such projects as the Hildegarde Withers mystery "Murder on the Bridle Path" (1935) and the bucolic comedy "Bunker Bean" (1936) before narrowing his range to RKO's B-western product. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, he was principal director of the studio's "George O'Brien", "Tim Holt" and "Robert Mitchum" sagebrushers. Even after being established as a director, Killy continued accepting assistant-director assignments on the films of such RKO contractees as actress "Ginger Rogers" and director "George Stevens". Edward Killy's final "A.D." stint was the benighted "Howard Hughes" epic "The Conqueror" (1956). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
