Bentley's many feature films include "Desert Mice" (1960), "The Golden Rabbit" (1962), and "The Adventures of Barry McKenzie" (1972). Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Bentley launched his career as a singer, but turned to acting on stage in 1929, before coming to England at the end of the following year.
