Tom Selleck, "Magnum, P.I."

The "Hawaii Five-0" guys may have patrolled the 50th state first, but Selleck did it way sexier. He was the perfect hero for 1980, the year the show debuted, comfortable in his own skin, and with all the right accessories: the Ferrari, the 'stache,... more the unbuttoned shirts. Oh, and the skimpiest shorts this side of the Village People. Selleck handled bad guys with aplomb and seemed to get a kick out of the whole scenario, even when all hell was breaking loose around him. "Oh, my God, Magnum!"
