The coolest band in the indie-rock universe continue their busy touring
schedule in support of their second album, 2009's "Contra." Led by singer and
primary songwriter Ezra Koenig, Vampire Weekend's sound is a combination of
Afro-pop ... more and angular new-wave rhythms that owes much to the Talking Heads. The group has engendered critical
acclaim and commercial success with songs such as "Oxford Comma" and
"Cousins."
