Perhaps the success of "District 9" will help this revamped series, based on the 1980s
miniseries (originally an allegory for Nazis and the Holocaust), find a wide
audience, since it, too, involves... more aliens hovering over our planet. The visitors
(the V's) say they come in peace, but do they? The series stars a number of
familiar faces, including Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet on "Lost"), Scott Wolf ("Party of Five") and Morena Baccarin ("Firefly"), and though
the pilot is solidly entertaining, the fact that ABC has decided to air only
four episodes before taking it off the air until March is a little
worrisome.
