Mel Brooks

Actor and comedian Dom DeLuise, seen here in a 1989 file photo, died May 4, 2009, at a Los Angeles hospital. He was 75 years old. He is survived by his wife, actress Carol Arthur, and sons Peter, Michael and David, all of whom are also actors.

Dom was probably best-known for his... more work in Mel Brooks films, such as "The Twelve Chairs," "Blazing Saddles" and "Silent Movie." He also hosted the popular TV show "Candid Camera" from 1991 to 1992. Dom was an avid cook and author, penning several cooking guides and children's books.
