It's not exactly fair to say
that Marvin Hamlisch is an unlikely Grammy winner. After all, he
has written some of the greatest (and sappiest) songs of all time, including
"The Way We Were," for pete's sake. He won four Grammys in 1974 for co-writing
"The Way We Were" (Song of ... morethe Year) and its accompanying soundtrack (Album of
Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or Television Special), for
"The Entertainer" (Best Pop Instrumental Performance) and for Best New Artist. A
good year. A talented man. But, I mean ... just look at him! (Image: Walter
