Jamie Lee Curtis ("Halloween")

Perhaps no one was more recognized as the Queen of Scream of her generation as Jamie Lee Curtis was during the late '70s and early '80s. She was a favorite in John Carpenter's great slasher flick "Halloween," which almost single-handedly brought... more the horror film back to life in the late 1970s, as it grossed about $50 million. Jamie Lee revisited the role of Laurie Strode in "Halloween II" in 1981. And she didn't stop there. Curtis, daughter of fellow Scream Queen Janet Leigh, teamed with Carpenter again for another horror flick, "The Fog" in 1980. She also starred as a high school student who has to dodge a psycho's killing blows on "Prom Night." Jamie Lee later went on to establish herself as a comedic actress with starring roles in "Trading Places" and "A Fish Called Wanda." But she almost deserves to have her Scream Queen title revoked after returning to the horror genre in the '90s to play Michael Myers' little sister Laurie Strode again in the ill-advised "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later" and the equally appalling "Halloween: Resurrection" in 2002.
