Charlton Heston: We never found Charlton Heston at his most alluring when he was yelling about guns and his "cold, dead hands." To us, NRA stands for Not Really Attractive. Nor did we totally love the fur loincloth and man-on-lady-ape lip action in "Planet of the Apes."

But ... moreholy Moses! He was a greasy, bare-chested delight in "Ben-Hur," a movie about a Jewish prince-turned-slave-turned-righteous avenger. It's proof that, sometimes, watching the unwashed celebrity can be a religious experience.
