Biography
The blonde and slightly voluptuous Aussie character actress Yvonne Strzechowski attended the Theatre Nepean drama program at the University of Western Sydney before achieving fame as a small-screen star on series and telemovies in her native Australia. Viewers first caught her on Channel 7's short-lived yet memorable Headland series, then as Martina in the weekly Channel 9 drama Sea Patrol. Turns in two continental features - Middle of Nowhere and The Plex - had Hollywood beckoning, and in 2006, Strzechowski officially moved to Los Angeles and signed for a plum role in her first Tinseltown series: the NBC sci-fi comedy Chuck (2007), about Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi), a computer nerd turned highly unlikely teenage spy. The actress plays Sarah Kent, the top CIA agent assigned to work with Chuck, with whom she becomes romantically involved. Concurrent with her involvement in this series, Strzechowski also signed for a plum role in her premier big screen American feature: Canyon, directed by Richard Harrah. Strzechowski is also an acclaimed playwright. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
