A masterpiece!  A story about the anthropology of religion.  Which story would you choose? Religion is the explanation after the fact.  The experience itself is God.

'Life of Pi' joins these films about heroes set adrift and stranded

In "Life of Pi," a 16-year-old Indian boy is traveling with his family and some of the animals from the family's zoo to a new life overseas. When the freighter they're on sinks, Pi is the only person to survive. He finds himself on a lifeboat with an orangutan, a spotted hyena, an injured zebra and a Bengal tiger. As he embarks on this incredible adventure, Pi joins a long line of movie heroes stranded by forces beyond their control. Here's a look at some of our favorite cinematic castaways.
