Here at MSN we've never been big on conspiracy theories. We've never been big
on the 1997 thriller "Conspiracy Theory" with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts either. We prefer to
let our readers decide for themselves.
The following list features nine couples past and present who've both won an
Academy Award. Sometimes it led to their downfall, but more often than not it
brought them closer together.
Heterosexual couples dominate the list. Sir Ian McKellen remains the only out
gay actor who has ever been nominated for an Oscar, and we couldn't find any
homosexual couples among the entire history of non-acting honorees.
But we'll leave that conspiracy theory for another day.
