I go to the movies for entertainment. I certainly do not go there to think. So just entertaining films are just fine with me. Meaning and art belong in museums so I don't have to see them.

What a typically arrogant and stupid commentary. Movies were meant for entertainment. I fyou need a movie to teach you deeper issues of life, get out of your hole more often. "Cerebral" movies are rarely, truly "cerabral," just overblown exressions which con artists like to convince each other are somehow relevant and meaninful to the world so they can feel clever. Most people have enough "reality" and "deep meaning" in the REAL world, they like to escape from it for a coupple of hours. If that some makes them beneath you self-anointed "deep thinkers" and movie officianados/sobs- well, pride goeth before a fall.
What a sap.
