The Best "21 Jump Street" The name, the idea, the pitch all made film fans roll their eyes: Why would you bring back the '80s TV show about cool young cops going undercover at high school? The answer, it turns out, is that in the hands of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs") and stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, the end result is utterly hilarious, both sending up the "Jump Street" series and embodying it, paying tribute while taking shots. With its hyper camera work, deadpan sense of humor ("You do ... have the right ... to be an attorney ...") and killer cast and crew, "21 Jump Street" wound up being the comedy of the year so far.
