"plus its hurry to paint all women as baby-crazed lunatics who must be both humored and obeyed".....you mean women are not like this?   Spare us.  I may have to see this movie after all.

My wife and I actually enjoyed the movie.  We had only recently discovered that we were having our first child, and, honestly, a a result we identified with it on some humorous as well as sincere levels.  Cheesy? of course. Predictable? in many places.  But in the end, both of us left the theater happy.

i didnt see this movie, but usually when there are no comments AND it gets a bad review.... usually means the movie portrayed something personal for the viewer. lol @  posers getting "called out"

"What to Expect When You're Expecting"

Turning an advice book into a movie with a cast of dozens that includes Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Anna McKendrick, this might as well have been titled "What to Expect When You're Mostly White and Well-Off," as the actresses showed off fake baby bumps and took part in fake plotlines. With its soap-opera acting, sub-Apatow emphasis on poop and pee, plus its hurry to paint all women as baby-crazed lunatics who must be both humored and obeyed, "What to Expect" showed how good advice doesn't make for good entertainment. Special hall-of-shame points go to Dennis Quaid's phony character, an overbearing NASCAR champ of a dad who's a jerk about everything.
